Yoga Song
Cabaret Songs: Yoga Song
Text: Rodney Sharman
Only man in yoga once again,
Humbled by the women in my class.
Soon begins an hour when I feign
Disinterest in their assanas.
Yoga goddesses.
Watching the instructor next to me,
‘Though she’s half my size she’s twice as strong.
When she does her Downdog I can see
Half a tattoo and her thong.
Yoga goddesses.
As my glasses fog, I ogle less
As the class progresses, I perspire.
Persevering through my clumsiness,
Saving face subsumes desire.
Yoga goddesses.
